The Zegriff is a celestial beast perpetually hungering for evil souls to devour. The black line on it's body is concentrated with locked away evil. Legend says that upon bursting the Zegriff would flush pure black with flaming red eyes and devour all the worlds in the universe. Other guardian creatures strive to prevent this by carefully harvesting the evil and locking it away at the edge of the universe. Some say Earth is that place where they have hidden the evil.

     "In the bamboo forests of china, a lone panda wandered in search of something. The feeling of something he needed to find tugged his big black paws as he traveled farther and farther into the forest than he ever had before. As light slowly got dimmer, signaling the end of the day, Panda knew he should turn back or he might not find his way back home, but the feeling tugged harder and harder at his heart, telling him to hurry. He picked up his pace as the climb got steeper and steeper until he felt he was reaching up into the sky at every step, but he wouldn't let himself give up. As the instinct grew more urgent, Panda began to run with his breath huffing from the effort. He leaped over short stones and dodged through the tall bamboo.

    How long would he have to run, Panda wondered, beginning to lose hope that his heart was leading him to the right place. Just as he began to think of turning back the instinct pulled harder than before, threatening to tear his heart out if he did not follow, so despite the pounding pain in his limbs, paws, and lungs from swiftly climbing higher into the mountain Panda pressed on.After a long while of traveling Panda collapsed from exhaustion in a small grassy clearing. The feeling tugged at him but he couldn't seem to lift even his nose to look up. He had failed, Panda thought. Dread filled his entire being. He lay there for a while staring down at the grass as he caught his breath.

     After several minutes a sharp yowl caught his attention. He looked up from the grass but saw only bamboo in all directions. He got up slowly with a still spinning head and stared around. a flash of red between the trees caught his eye and he began slowly pawing towards it. a second yowl split the air and the feeling tugged more intensely then ever before. Panda raced through the trees and was astonished when he found a little red creature hanging from a strange branch woven around two of the more sturdy bamboo trunks. Panda could smell that humans had been in the area. 

     "What happened to you?" Asked Panda, startling the little red creature hanging by one of its dark back legs. She wobbled only causing herself to swing back and forth.

     "Oh! Who are you! Will you eat Red-Panda?" Said the little she-animal."No, Panda will only eat bamboo." Queried Panda. He marveled at the little "red panda" with the red fur, dark paws, and striped tail. Her face was accented with light cream side-burns and ear furs. He also wondered why red panda would think he would eat her? Hadn't she ever met a big white Panda? 

   "panda? I am a panda too and I also eat bamboo. Red-Panda was out early this night, she usually begin foraging later when twilight hits the forest, but I smelled something yummy. There was a whole bunch of these small delicious eggs. I came to eat them but branch grabbed me and hung me in sky." little red panda explained. Panda wondered at what sort of magic was used. 

     "It must have been the humans magics. let me see if I get pull you down." Panda explained and he reared upon his back legs until he stood straight up. With his massive black paw he grabbed the branch and began to gnaw. It felt stringy in his mouth as it slowly snipped apart. *Snap* As the branch finally broke, little red panda fell onto Panda and toppled him over on his back. He looked into her small black eyes and she looked right back into his, nose to nose, he then realized for the first time, that he had found what he was looking for."
